  36.  Use LightWave.  Load the sequence. Put one sequence in Background image, 
  37. Set the frame offset to 45, then use the same sequence  in foreground image.
  38. Go to  the foreground dissolve requester and set-up a envelope to dissolve 
  39. to the background image sequence starting at frame 45.   In 4.0 release 
  40. version you can cut and paste your envelope to repete this effect as many 
  41. times as you want.
